Foods to be careful with

These foods are not off-limits, but they deserve a little attention — either because they contain more carbs than you might expect, or because portion size matters.

Legumes:Lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans — high in carbs but also high in fibre, net carbs moderate
Full-fat dairy:Milk has natural sugars, limit to small amounts
Dark chocolate:85%+ is low carb in small portions
Some condiments:Ketchup, sweet chilli, BBQ sauce — high sugar
